Underage Prostitute Has Soccer Team In Hot Water

The NBA Playoffs are underway and the San Antonio Spurs just upset the 2 seed out of the Western Conference the Dallas Mavericks tonight to advance to the conference semifinals. The Yankees took care of Baltimore, a city I just visited, earlier today with some spectacular defense. Oh yeah, and I can't forget the mega fight coming up between the best boxer in the world Floyd Mayweather Jr vs "Sugar" Shane Mosley.

You may be asking why am I talking about soccer with all of this good stuff going on. Well its not everyday an underage escort gets with a French soccer team...allegedly.

French media reported that Zahia Dehar, who just turned 18, had paid sex with several football stars, including Franck Ribery, Karim Benzema, and Sidney Govou. The players have testified to police and could face up to three years in prison and a euro 45,000 ($60,000) fine if found guilty. Prostitution is legal in France, but prostitutes must be over 18 years old, and clients are liable if they are not.

"I never told anybody I was a minor," Dehar said in an interview published Thursday by the French weekly magazine Paris Match. She said she had been paid for sex since the age of 16 when she began partying in fashionable Paris nightclubs and that she charged about 2,000 ($2,650) for a night with a customer.

"But I'm not a prostitute," she said in the interview, arguing she was an "escort girl" instead because she didn't belong to a network or a pimp, and sometimes chose not to have sex with customers she didn't like. She was saving money to buy a beauty parlor.

This is so unbelievable that I don't even know where to begin. First of all the soccer players are certainly guilty of bad judgement on a variety of issues. Now how hard is it to ask for an i.d. and nevermind that, why are they getting with prostitutes anyway, allegedly.  I thought these guys were high paid professional soccer players, shouldn't they be dating supermodels?

The escort was just a child when all of this took place. The girl's family says they thought she was going to a friend's house during all of her "meetings". Also I love when she says "I'm not a prostitute I'm an escort" which is like Derek Jeter saying I don't play baseball, I mean give me a break.

This is just sad and I actually feel bad for the girl. I think it is really sad that this is the only way she thinks she can attain a beauty parlor. I know for a fact that college is free in France and in most of Europe. We had a foreign exchange student stay with us when I was in high school, shout out to Miriam.

The soccer players I don't feel bad at all I mean their reputations are already shot. Again, as the adults they are to blame for this criminally stupid behavior. Thanks a lot soccer, you've given me another reason to hate your sport. I've already seen the 2010 campaign for soccer in the USA and I'm telling you it won't work.

Just ask Manchester United, probably the most famous soccer team in the world when they came to visit Portland, Oregon and were greeted by 12 people. Soccer doesn't work in the US and it never will, hopefully they'll read this and listen...now stop trying to force feed us this garbage.

Either the best game or the worst game I've ever seen

It should be known that I am a huge sports fan. Sports are like a drug and I just have to watch as much as I can. More than anything I think I just love live action which probably explains why I'm such a huge WWE fan. My uncle owns his own business and deals with some very important people and when I tell them about going to the WWE events they're like...why?

While the NCAA basketball tournament is the best event in all of sports and then comes the Superbowl, baseball will always remain my favorite sport and it's not because my grandfather brought my cousin and I to a New York Yankees game when we were ten...okay yes it is but it was just so much fun that I never forgot it. Sneaking down a few rows every inning until we were near the dugout it was just awesome.

Although I'm this huge sports fan I always seem to attract girls who love the Real Housewives or Basketball Wives or now Maria's into Ray J and Brandy and I'm like who cares about this crap...sports rule! Well unless games like the one between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Pittsburgh Pirates happen too often.

Brewers 20 Pittsburgh 0!

Not a misprint, Robert Nutting the owner of the Pirates has been called the anti Steinbrenner before but now I don't know what to think. Steinbrenner who owns the NY Yankees, would fire his entire staff including some players if the Yankees ever suffered such an embarrassing loss. I'm sitting on my couch yesterday watching this game and it was surreal. I mean at least in little league they have a mercy rule but this is the big leagues. I felt bad for Pittsburgh, I mean the Brewers were taking no pity as they continued to swing for homeruns even with a 20 run lead.

Ryan Braun homered, singled, doubled, oh yeah and he also drove in five runs. 10 Brewers had at least an RBI and this beating came a day after the Brewers beat the Pirates 8 - 0. If there are any Pirates fans left the news will only get worse I mean it is only April and I don't think the Pirates are even trying anymore. Now that I think about it, the Pirates haven't tried in decades but hopefully they can recover from this and play better because this isn't good for baseball. People are struggling everyday in this economy and sports are there to take our minds off of the problems we may have but these guys are basically collecting their checks wearing ski masks because they aren't earning them.

On a personal note I am playing in this local poker tournament and I am surprising myself I actually knocked out some players but mostly I'm there for the networking, you'd be surprised by who you can meet at one of these tournaments, tomorrow I'll bring my camera...wish me luck!

Questionable Media Coverage of Tiger

Phil Mickelson won the 2010 Masters event in Augusta, GA and I say congratulations, you have to give credit where it is due. Tiger Woods finished in fourth place after a strong start and although he didn't win he did receive a nice pay day (about $360,000). Phil Mickelson's wife and mother are battling cancer and so for him to win under all that pressure is amazing. Tiger Woods has been the talk of the tabloids since November when his infidelities became public for the first time, yet he managed to finish fourth which is outstanding....God how I wish it would end there.

I knew this was going to be bad when the scandal broke because Tiger is a polarizing figure in the sports world. He is a minority in a predominately white sport. He has his supporters where he can do no wrong in their eyes, and he has his haters who can't wait to tear down his every misstep. The homepage on PGA.com as of this post says Saint and Sinner with pictures of Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods...and the PGA calls Tiger a hypocrite.

Robert Lusetich, a golf analyst said, "Tiger's back but his swing looks like it's still in rehab." I would like to ask Robert how a swing, that landed Tiger Woods fourth place in the Masters after a five month layoff, can look like it needs any improvement or as he says "Looks like it's still in rehab"?

Now reports are coming out that Tiger got with one of his young neighbors. Raychel Coudriet who is 22 now says she met Tiger when she was 14...relax, this alleged affair took place last year. This story has been reported by the National Enquirer and now its everywhere. The key word is alleged but I guess no one gives you the benefit of the doubt after so many mistresses are gunning for you.

Someone who is defending Tiger is long time friend Charles Barkley. I love Charles because he truly speaks his mind no matter good or bad in this case the latter. Charles said, "You got this punk ass Billy Payne who goes on TV ... for him to get on there and act like he's all Uncle Tom, he's the master on the plantation, that piss me off."

Barkley added, "I wish somebody would just walk up to him and punch him in his face." Masters Chairman Billy Payne started all of this last week when he said, "Our hero did not live up to the expectations of the role model we saw for our children."

First of all Billy Payne is a moron, you are the chairman of the Masters, your job is to comment on how a player is doing on the golf course not off of it. Roger Goodell the commissioner of the NFL isn't throwing Ben Roethlisberger under the bus and believe me Ben has given him several chances in the past.

Barkley is also wrong in the sense that he played the race card. While certainly the media are all over Tiger, they haven't crossed the line...yet. At least not the main stream media. I look at some of the other blogs floating around and it is a sad world we live in as these people call Tiger every name in the book...the question I want answered is how hypocritical is the media being? The next time a prominent figures screws up I'll be watching the coverage.

NY Jets Front Player $500,000 For Child Support

My friends ask me all the time why am I so tough on athletes and I always answer the same way, because like it or not these guys are role models. Yes they are human just like everyone else, however if you are on television everyday you have worldwide recognition and that usually comes with money, a tremendous amount of money and so that's where the average guy and the professional athlete part ways.

They are role models because kids who love sports idolize these guys and do everything they can to duplicate their success on and off the field. That's why I am so tough on athletes when they screw up. That's probably also the reason Tiger Woods felt compelled to apologize publicly. That being said Tiger is a saint compared to Antonio Cromartie.

When the NY Jets signed cornerback Antonio Cromartie, they also signed his personal baggage which is why they had to front him $500,000 of his $1.7 million dollar contract. Cromartie has the burden of supporting seven children by six different mothers in five different states. NY Jets General Manager Mike Tannenbaum said, "We're looking forward to him having a fresh start here with us and we're going to work with Antonio collaboratively to make sure we can do everything we can organizationally to give him the best chance to be successful. We're looking forward to working together in that partnership."

Uh oh! Slow down a minute Mike, just hold the hell up, I think he has been a little too successful off of the football field that is the problem. Listen in all seriousness this is a real problem and it happens more often than you think. Antonio, are you kidding me? Travis Henry and his 11 kids by 9 women thinks you need to mix in some condoms. Granted it's a little late for that, just stay away from women in general dude.

I don't have any kids but if that happened to me once I would promise myself that would never happen again because how on earth do you begin to explain this to the child. Dad how did you and mom meet? Then again, most people can't answer that without turning red in the face. This is not cool, not cool in the sports world, not cool in the real world and not cool on Maury. Clearly a show full of Harvard sophisticates, I won't get started on that rant because this blog will turn into a book...
